Lauren Weavers
BSc Occupational Therapy (UWC), Occupational Therapist
Lauren Weavers is an Occupational Therapist, from Cape Town and graduated in 2014 from the University of the Western Cape.
She completed her community service in the Northern Cape at Springbok Hospital, where she worked with both adults and children. She gained knowledge and clinical skills working with conditions such as hand injuries, stroke, spinal cord injuries, developmental delays, Down syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorder, FAS and Cerebral Palsy.
After her community service year, she worked at the Department of Education where she further gained experience working with children in mainstream and special schools. She then went on to work at a private paediatric practice and at a specialised learning centre for children with Autism, before starting her own practice.
Lauren is passionate about working with children, adults and their families and believes in a client-centred and holistic approach to ensure her clients reach their full potential. She ensures that sessions are fun (for children), engaging and specific to every clients needs.
She has a special interest in paediatrics, hand therapy and physical rehabilitation.
