Dr. Christian Ilunga Mutonkole

Being an individual with a deep sense of community drove Dr Ilunga to pursue a career in the medical field. He completed medical training at the University of Stellenbosch in 2014. Worked around the country, spending 2 years of internship in Durban and a year of community service in the northern cape. Dr Ilunga developed a particular interest in paediatrics and child health in which he accumulated experience in general paediatrics and neonatal ICU and completed a post-graduate qualification. Dr Ilunga then moved to the emergency side of the medical field and worked in the casualty of various private hospitals and still does at times to this day. The above experience helped him further understand community dynamics and gain more insight into the management and referral of the community that he serves. His hobby and interest are mainly long-distance running in which he has completed several marathons as well as two times two oceans ultramarathon and one comrade's ultramarathon and continues to use his running to raise awareness and run for various charity organizations.
